People who saw my blog post from York and Albany restaurant (that’s my old blog btw) may know that other than doing wedding and portrait photography I have a passion for taking pictures of original and distinctive looking interiors, especially if this includes food photography.
Last month I visited the Old Luxters Barn near Buckinghamshire as it’s the venue for Chris and Nikki’s wedding reception this summer. I was on my way home from another shoot so had my camera with me. And I’m glad I did because this wedding venue is more than just a venue. It is located within an English vineyard and brewery with its own very cute little cellar shop selling a variety of own wines, ales, liqueurs and local produce. Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery have wine tours and tastings available. While I was taking photos I had my very own little tour and a bit of tasting by ever so cheerful Zoe who was looking after the shop that day. As a result of this tour I ended up with 2 bottles of award-winning Egnlish fine wine and I must tell you there’s nothing like drinking a glass of splendid wine when you know exactly where it comes from!

Plenty of wine tasting glasses!

Zoe was super friendly and made me feel so welcome. Love her smile!

Wines I’ve taken home: red from Private bin No10 and white 2010 Oak Aged. That white was gorgeous!

Some pretty walks just outside the barn

I look forward to coming there again this June!
