“We absolutely love the photos, so personal and beautiful and have had so many comments from friends and family on how amazing they are! We especially love those of our precious time in Prior Park Gardens! Thank you again for capturing so wonderfully our special day! We will treasure the photos always. And couldn’t recommend you highly enough – thank you so much for putting us at such ease during the day and just capturing it all as it happened!” – Catharine and Ben.
I am finally blogging this absolutely incredible wedding I shot back in April this year. Catharine and Ben got in touch last year by recommendation from the wedding I did at Great Barn, Manor Farm in Ruislip. C+B live in Bath and we only had a chance to meet each other in person a day before the wedding! (we did have an initial Skype chat) As I met the couple I instantly warmed to them. It would have been difficult not to, because C+B are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. They are incredibly kind, caring and so in love with each other (I feel grateful I have a chance to meet people like them!) I have never been to Bath previously and it was great to see the city’s main attractions as we were walking and viewing the wedding venues – Bath Abbey and Bath Assembly Rooms the day before. The next day the girls started with their hair at the vibrant and quirky city hairdressers Melanie Giles and continued at Brindleys Boutique B&B – such a lovely and cosy home hotel with very hospitable owners. Ben Howard was playing as Catherine was getting ready and I knew I was in the right place 🙂 One of the bridesmaids – Hannah @ Pallett Belben – prepared some beautiful handmade jewellery for the girls. To avoid overloading this post with text I’ll let you see the pictures, they will tell the story of the day better than my poor writing! The only thing to add is that the story wouln’t be complete without my fellow photographer Will who was second shooting with me on the day and did an excellent job! (that shot from the top of the Abby is just incredible!)
