Some of my favourite images from Fong & Long‘s wedding at Chandos House in London last year. The civil ceremony was followed by the traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony. Fong and Long are two incredibly warm, down to earth and caring people. It was brilliant to witness their beautifully arranged wedding and spend the day with them and their families and friends. Even despite the craziness during the after ceremony official photo hour with the Chinese congregation who are known for having way too many group photos 🙂 To distress from this we went back to the suite where Fong was getting ready and the couple had a chance to spend a little bit of time on their own. I love taking these little breaks from the crowd and having my couples in front of the camera to create some natural and intimate portraits. It’s important to me that the couple feel completely relaxed, so I gently guide them giving the freedom to interact with each other while I take photos. Many couples commented that it was important for them too to take this break (and it’s a perfect excuse to go for some portraits with the photographer) and reflect on what has just happened.
