Today I’d like to share some images from this gorgeous Notley Abbey wedding in Buckinghamshire. The couple preferred not to reveal their names or faces, but still there is plenty to see here! The main reason I’d like to share these pictures is to show this absolutely stunning wedding venue in Buckinghamshire and what it can offer. “Something old, something new”.. How about “something medieval & rustic, something fresh & contemporary” in the same place? Believe me, it’s possible! Notley Abbey combines both history and modern clean lines throughout its interiors (just have a look at the entrance hall and the bridal suite!) It also offers a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Mature gardens are well looked after and you have a choice of white or red carpet for your ceremony! I love the combination of white carpet and chairs on the perfect green lawn here. The grounds of this place make a truly stunning backdrop for wedding photographs! But what equally important is that this place is run by a team of friendly and hard-working professionals who make sure their couples and guests (and other suppliers like myself!) always get the best experience!
The two pictures below illustrate so well the old and new of this venue! I absolutely love how organically it’s been done!I loved the contrast of the original dark wood door and the most delicate fabric of this wedding dress!A dream setting for a ceremony! As you can see it was cloudy on the day, so the team and coordinator were at the ready to change things if needed. Luckily the weather was kind to us and it didn’t rain!Despite some darker original features like the wooden door the bridal suite feels so light and airy!Flowers by Joanna Carter Wedding Flowers
